Irene Wise is a Fellow in Holocaust Education at the Imperial War Museum London. She has worked as a Holocaust educator and consultant with the IWM since 2005.

Irene has worked with several key organizations involved in Holocaust studies, delivering talks and workshops. These include: Yad Vashem, Beth Shalom, Holocaust Education Trust, Facing History and the Wiener Library. She also worked on the British Library’s archive of Holocaust testimony.

For Penguin Books, Irene wrote and curated an app for iPad on The Diary of Anne Frank and (together with Aviva Dautch) wrote an accompanying Teachers’ Pack.

At the University of Roehampton, Irene set up and ran an undergraduate module in representations of The Holocaust in Art, Literature, and Film; also a Theology undergraduate module on the Holocaust.  

Irene has run training and advisory sessions for filmmakers, galleries, teachers and facilitators working with this difficult subject and has addressed groups from diverse backgrounds, ages and abilities. 

In 2023, Irene worked with Bashert Films on the design, content and final production of J’Accuse, a documentary about the Holocaust in Lithuania.
